There was so much amazing in this episode, but Anya’s part was particularly notable for how shocking the concept of personal death was to a vengeance demon. It was such a huge leap for her character and, wow, I’m tearing up just looking at the photoset however many years later.

This makes me cry everytime :(

This is such a freaking good point. I read Mills & Boone when I was a kid which might have given me completely unrealistic ideas about love and romance (damn it, my billionaire-Italian-hero, where are you to rescue me from being a nonentity and ride off into blissful marriage + babies with me?) but at least it wasn’t porn, which let’s face it no body over the age of thirteen is unaware of pornography anymore. Unfortunately!
